Ingredients: 1 litre Omfed Milk, ½ cup basmati rice, ½ cup sugar, 2 tbsp chopped dry fruits (cashew, raisins), 2–3 cardamom pods.

Process:

  • Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes, then drain and keep aside.
  • Boil Omfed Milk in a heavy-bottomed pan, stirring continuously to prevent sticking.
  • Add the soaked rice and simmer on low flame until the grains turn soft and the milk thickens.
  • Mix in sugar and crushed cardamom, cooking further until the kheer develops a creamy texture.
  • Garnish with fried cashew and raisins, then serve warm as prasad or chilled for a festive treat.
